Yup, along with everyone and their mother, we were sitting in front of a television set watching the final episode of LOST. I won’t get into it but I was pretty disappointed in the conclusion, but that’s that and there’s no point getting riled up about things. What made it all easier to stomach was a group of good friends to rip out the show together. Thanks to Gail for throwing a nice shin-dig at her amazing new place! As party gifts Jack and I decided it would be uber fun to back some Dharma Initiative wine labels! For nice big pictures Jack took, check out the Flickr stream!

P.S. You can download what we made yourself HERE and modify as you wish! Enjoy!

Now it doesn’t look extremely comfortable, but I think it’s quite a creative solution!
When an August 2007 rain storm completely flooded the New York City subway system, the MTA recognized a problem at street level. Because ventilation grates were flush with the sidewalk and fed directly into subway stations that weren’t very deep underground, numerous stations – particularly in Queens – were completely overrun with water.
To solve this problem, the authority proposed in late 2008 a reconceptualized subway grate that would also double as street furniture. By July of 2009, the $31 million flood-prevention plan was fully in place with grates along Sutphin and Queens Boulevards among other areas susceptible to flooding.

It’s really too bad that this doesn’t exist!
‘Ccwatch’ is a tribute to the tradition of Swiss artisan watch making. This timepiece combines the technical art of its internal mechanisms with the craftsmanship of another artisan technique – a decorative wooden exterior. The result is a hand watch which resembles that of a cuckoo clock.

Humor and a message!
The video is an amusing piece of animated propaganda from Method to drive interest in the Household Labeling Act, which would require cleaning products to list all their ingredients on their labels.

Brand New’s April Fool’s joke this year is really really great! It’s retro and so adorable! Jack’s totally into the sprinkle t-shirt. DD would be smart to take this into consideration. Happy April to you all; I’m so happy the sun is out and temperatures are on the rise!
