Button Bouquet

Button Bouquet
One of my best friends, Nia, got “unofficially” engaged a little over a month ago (YAY!), and while on The Scoop, I was reminded of these adorable button bouquets I saw at a card shop recently. Nia is a fashion designer and I think would be perfect for her wedding day! (I will say, the one’s found on The Scoop, made by Princess Lasertron, are much more well-crafted and creative than the one I took a picture of.) So cute!!

Destination Paintings

Here’s the full, first series, as mentioned last week. Picking 4 cities we plan to visit in the near future, I made little 3″ x 4 1/2″ watercolor paintings of each. I shall do more soon; Lord nows there are a number more cities on this list!

Destination Paintings (Sneak Peek)

Destination Paintings (Sneak Peek)
Just a little project I’ve been working on. The above is a painting of the Sensō-ji Temple in Tokyo, Japan. This weekend is a travel one, so I shall post pictures of the completed pieces next week. Have a fabulous weekend! <3

More from our Apartment

It’s Sunday, and we’re enjoying it indoors.

I modified a clock I got, decorating it with the lovely “Say it With Flowers” paper I fancy so much (and have used previously). Also, I finally spray-painted our shoe/magazine/key holder and now it really looks like the Diesel setup.

WTFBBQ? More bird watercolors?

Flamingo Watercolor
I had an impulse to one more for my watercolor bird series and I wanted something pink this time! I had to do a little rearranging, but they fit together quite nicely now.

The Book/Compter case

New Computer Area
Jack is out of town for the weekend and I’ve been busying myself around the apartment. I moved the bookcase and cleaned it out to make room for my computer, since this will now be my new computer place. I also made this brief map project for myself (based on the Keep Calm Ltd “Make Your Own Path” poster). You can see WIP below.

Falcon watercolor & the final four

All four bird watercolor
So, the series is complete, for now, and I couldn’t be happier with how they all turned out! They are all sitting pretty in our front room, which I hope to get pictures of this weekend, once I have time to finish up on spring cleaning.

The last of this series was the falcon, which I’m dedicating to Jack. <3 Here are some detail shots:

Origami castle-ware

origami dish pattern for the origami castle
Dishes perfectly matched to our cardboard furniture.

Entered in designboom’s Dining in 2015 design contest, the idea is simple: when you’re having a party, pick up a handful of “sheets” of cups and bowls at your local market, fold, and enjoy. Presumably, the paper would be recyclable when you’re done drinking punch or eating pasta salad.
