Ringing in a New Month

Ringing in June
What another grand, tourist-y, girls weekend, with my mom and grandma! Saturday had some iffy weather, and even though we were on an open-top bus tour, we managed to evade most of it. It poured a good bit while we were ate the gorgeous Frick Collection. Neither my grandmother nor Jack had ever been out to the Statue of Liberty, so Sunday the four of us took a ferry out to Liberty and Ellis Island. The weather could not have been better for that! Warm sun and cool breezes!

Next weekend is going to seem so slow after these past few weeks. I am looking forward to the relaxing down-time, but I’m ready for more people to come a visit!

A trip to the Museum

Brooklyn Museum of Art
I think I inspired Jack a little by posting those logos, because today we went to the Brooklyn Museum. What a fabulous space! It has a huge variety of pieces that spans ancient to modern. I love seeing pieces I studied in college and was glad to see they still had the Dinner Party by Judy Chicago there. What a fabulous way to spend a raining day!
