Ventured Out

Mother Mary, Carrol Gardens Brooklyn
What a glorious weekend with my parents in town! (Check out the Flickr set for pictures!) The highlight was our trip to Carrol Gardens, Brooklyn on Sunday. If I were to consider moving to Brooklyn, this neighborhood would be at the top of my list. Adorable homes, boutiques, restaurants and cafes at every turn; a place to will absolutely be out to again!

- Tasted terrific beers at Brooklyn Brewery.

A Trip to Williamsburg

A Trip to Williamsburg
Yesterday was “Shutdown Day” and it went wonderfully. The only reason I touched my computer was to turn it off. We took this day and made a trip out to Williamsburg, Brooklyn, did some thrift shopping and, when we go back into Manhattan, caught a movie.

A trip to the Museum

Brooklyn Museum of Art
I think I inspired Jack a little by posting those logos, because today we went to the Brooklyn Museum. What a fabulous space! It has a huge variety of pieces that spans ancient to modern. I love seeing pieces I studied in college and was glad to see they still had the Dinner Party by Judy Chicago there. What a fabulous way to spend a raining day!
