This could be very fun! I’ve missed it previous years, I’m going to make a real effort to get there out this time!

Handmade Bridal Bouquets
I just got back in the fair city of New York last night from a gorgeous Minneapolis wedding! I could not have asked for a better time with better people! The above image are of the lovingly handcrafted bouquets by Nia’s mum. They turned out so amazingly! (The smaller of the two is what I walked with and the taller was the throwing bouquet I caught.)

We were busy with bridal duties most the time so I didn’t get to experience all the Twin Cities had to offer. But, at least I finally got to try a Juicy Lucy from Matt’s, which Nia has been raving about as long as I’ve known her! Any down time was spent in the hotel, and we bridesmaids were hooked on “The Office”, so naturally this game took place quite a bit. I’ll be posting the few images I have on our Flickr page, but sadly I forgot my camera a lot and don’t have a ton.

What an wonderful week! Nia, the ceremony was beautiful and the reception could not have been more perfectly you (and of course that’s a good thing ;D)! I’m already missing you and the whole clan!

While Wondering

Dutch Seen at The Museum of the City of New York
Hope your weekend was as nice as mine! Saturday was chill until the night came and we stayed out ’til the sun came up. Jack and I caught a few winks Sunday morning then it was out for brunch and while wondering the Northern top of Central Park decided to stop into The Museum of the City of New York, which I always forget is there. I was very excited, as I had read about the “Mannahatta/Manhattan” exhibit recently and wanted to check it out. That was all good and well, but the surprise treat was the “Dutch Seen” exhibit, a showcase of modern Dutch photographers. The above photograph is by Hendrik Kerstens, entitled ‘Napkin’; his series being one of the highlights of the show. Sadly (though good for us), yesterday was the last day. You should absolutely check out the museum, regardless!

And how are things going? Good, I hope! The hiatus is till ongoing; but, my mum and pop were in town for a visit so I thought I’d check in and post a few of my favorite pictures from their trip.

A Weekend Rundown

A Weekend Rundown
Friday: Hid from the flash flood downpour and the watched the most beautiful sunset!

Saturday: And, we had our monthly Bondi Road brunch Saturday, which was awesome as always! Later, we did some bar-hopping in our neighborhood with a friend from out-of-town.

Sunday: Hangover recoup day! I was inspired by this arrangement and put together my own.

Coney Island Mermaid Parade

Coney Island Mermaid Parade
Met Rei out in Coney Island to take in the festivities of the 2009 Mermaid Parade. I had no idea what to expect and, though, it was kind of sensory overload (I’m ashamed I didn’t take any pictures of the really outlandish), it was crazy fun! Next year we plan to go all out!

Adverture Around Fort Washington

Fun Around Fort Washington
One of our best friends graduates next week (congrats Rei!!) and Friday she had her party. Gooood times! Saturday was spent ordering in and recovering. Sunday was brunch day! We went back up to her neighborhood and tried out a fun place: Bleu Evolution. Not the most outstanding food, but the atmosphere and back garden area were fabulous. After a chill afternoon with friends Jack and I ran down to Chelsea and caught a showing of Star Trek. Kick-arse movie!

Yup, that’s the breakdown…
