Fractal Necklace

Fractal Necklace
Gorgeous and geeky! By jewelry makers, Boucheron.

The one-of-a-kind “Julia” necklace, which is being introduced at a couture-week party in Paris tomorrow evening, was inspired by Newson’s obsession with fractals — geometric shapes that can be subdivided into smaller versions of themselves, specifically the Julia Sets of fractals discovered by Gaston Julia in the early 1900s.

The scientifically-spawned sparkler contains around 2,000 paved stones and took the company’s craftspeople 1,500 hours to realize using rapid-prototyping technology and a minimal three-prong setting, so the stones appear to float on the wearer’s throat.

Leviticus Jewelry

Leviticus Jewelry
Saw this place as an advertisement on a blog I can’t remember and was very intrigued. Tara Levitin produces some really neat pieces at, what I think, are very reasonable prices. I’m in love with those earrings!

ONE Rings

ONE
Everyone catch your breath, nope, I’m not gettin’ married (and I’m, no, not dropping any hints, Jack). I just thought these bands, by STUDIObloomm, were the so elegant and if I were getting hitched tomorrow I would love to have these as mine. I’d be like giving “love pounds” all the time!

P.S. I would like to say congrats to Jessi and Monkey, who did just get married! I wish them the bestest of the best!

Kid Robot Jewelry

Kid Robot Jewelry
Ooooo, fun stuff… and they’re launching it on my birthday!

Kidrobot just announced a jewelry collaboration with designer Tarina Tarantino. The goods will debut in Kidrobot and Tarina Tarantino’s Soho stores on July 30 and range from $65 to $975. We couldn’t think of a more fitting designer for Kidrobot to make jewelry with. Tarantino has designed a Barbie doll and Barbie-inspired jewelry and famously gave Hello Kitty pink hair in 2002 (an image she still uses in her jewelry designs), and she’s earned a cult following with her bright, shiny creations. Not to mention she calls her L.A. headquarters “The Sparkle Factory.”
