Home

I’ve been watching Big Love for a few years now; I really love the show. This season they changed their intro and I’m quite impressed. Music, entitled “Home,” by The Engineers. Does anyone know who designed this?

10 Great Things About Working From Home

10 Great Things About Working From Home
And for the weekend I leave you with a list, recently posted on Apartment Therapy. This is something I hope to be doing in the very near future.

1. Taking a Bath at Lunchtime
2. Raiding the Fridge whenever I want
3. Being able to hit up Trader Joes or Target in the middle of the day
4. Working in Pajamas (which I did today for the first time, until I had to go to the dentist)
5. Not commuting anywhere, especially in the rain
6. Making lunch at home (and being able to put a roast in the oven in time to eat before 10pm)
7. Making a mid day Yoga class
8. Getting to be alone for the day in semi stillness (and not coming home ragged and exhausted)
9. Getting to play whatever music I want
10. Janel inspired this one: Getting to hang out with my kitty.

Well.. let’s see, it’s been a while, huh? Due to a trip to, the now infamous, Brooklyn IKEA, I have re-enacted the “Saving Spree” on myself again. This really really sucks, cuz there’s still a whole lot I want to get (but, that’s another post). What we did walk away with were little things: towels, small pillows, pots, net curtains, and frames; the last of which I was very excited to get because I’ve really wanted to get cracking on this wall for a week or two now. So, here it is! Most of it anyways. I’ve still got a few more I want to get up there, but I’m very happy with how it turned out!

Home Inspection Nightmares

Home Inspection Nightmares
Now when it comes to building and construction, I am not the person to come to. Rarely do I and the 3rd dimension agree of things. But I do, from time to time look the way in which some of the things were put together in our apartment and go, “What were they thinking?”.
Thing ongoing series, at the This Old House website, really made my chuckle. Even though we might not have had the brightest bulbs renovate this apartment, it’s no where near as scary as some of the pictures you will see here!
