Met Rei out in Coney Island to take in the festivities of the 2009 Mermaid Parade. I had no idea what to expect and, though, it was kind of sensory overload (I’m ashamed I didn’t take any pictures of the really outlandish), it was crazy fun! Next year we plan to go all out!

Happy Get-Trashed-Even-Though-You-May-Not-Be-Irish Day!

To those who get to enjoy the festivities, have a drink for those of us who have to work today… I’ll try to make up for it tonight! Cheers
It’s So Much Easier When Seafoam Green is in Fashion

Though the large bulk of Chanel’s 2009 Fall Ready-to-Wear line was black and white, with a sprinkle of light pink, these few seafoam green pieces made me quite happy (especially that first one!!).

Oh and for those who don’t get the title reference:
Love me some Betsey, of course

I really miss having my friend work/intern there… that was a great connection that was (and it was so nice having her in the city)!
About the 2009 Ready-To-Wear line:
There were no cartwheels from Betsey Johnson for the first time in what feels like forever…because there was no catwalk. Instead, she invited a smaller crowd to “Betsey Crocker’s Kitchen” in her showroom. Yes, folks, the designer who played Peter Pan for Spring reinvented herself as Julia Child. “It’s a happy, eating/drinking show with hot waiter guys,” Johnson said with typical zaniness.

Dior, Darling!

Holy cow! I just came across Dior’s Spring 2009 Couture line and was just blown away!

10 Most Expensive Comics at NY ComicCon ’09

You can probably guess what they are, but it’s pretty neat to see just how much they are worth! Full list can be found over at io9.
Here’s to memories and looking to the future!

I’m taking it easy today in preparation for the craziness that will more than likely ensue tonight.
Well, my 2008 was a spectacular one! I think the biggest highlight would have to be when I finally took a trip out to the West Coast; where I met Jack’s wonderful family, put my feet in the Pacific and hugged a redwood! I hope we get to take an even longer trip out there in ’09!
To my lover, all my friends and family, and anyone who happens to stumble upon this little blog: have the happiest and most blessed new year! Love to all!
Process

This morning I shipped out our first order of Obama Calendars! I’m so proud of how it all turned out!

P.S. Since Jack is out of town, the Etsy shop will also be on vacation for a little… shall be back up very soon.
Featured!

Holy crap! While poking around NOTCOT, I found this article about cool 2009 Etsy calendars. And, guess what!? Our 09 Obama Calendar was featured!! We’re in there with some very nicely designed pieces and I am so flattered! Many thanks to The Words in My Mouth!
New to the Store!

It took me a week after the election, but finally I finished my 09 Obama Calendars! I love how they turned out (and hopefully many others do too)!
Come in and check out the store!
Jack & Jules
Once upon a time a California boy met a Georgia girl in New York. They didn't get along, at first. But, little by little, they fell in love. Today, they are happily living in Santa Cruz, CA and still very much in love, running an Etsy print shop and a branding & design business together.
Thank you for stopping by!
