My Thanksgiving, in Pictures
I flew Thanksgiving solo this year due to Jack flying out to see his family… and before I get that pity “awwww” from you, it wasn’t that bad! I really enjoy my alone time and had plenty of projects for myself to fill the time. (I have my family arriving in town shortly, so getting the apartment in order was near the top of my list.) I also indulged in one of my favorite things to do in this grand city, looooooong walks! Hope everyone else had a wonderful extended weekend!

Holy crap! While poking around NOTCOT, I found this article about cool 2009 Etsy calendars. And, guess what!? Our 09 Obama Calendar was featured!! We’re in there with some very nicely designed pieces and I am so flattered! Many thanks to The Words in My Mouth!

Museum Mile at Night

Museum Mile at Night
I took a nice, long, relaxing walk up Museum Mile the other night and took some neat pictures. I’m planning on doing this more, seeing as it’s on my way home and it’s such a beaut’ of an avenue. Above is (obviously) The Guggenheim. Below is The Metropolitan, The Frick (which technically isn’t part of Museum Mile, but I like to include it, anyway) and Cooper-Hewitt.

Breakfast on Sunday?

Hell's Kitchen Devil
Jack and I are the kind of people who like to sleep in, whenever possible. So, it was a little odd for us to be making plans to wake up earlier than we do on the weekdays! Sunday was to be a touristy, date-day; and though plans didn’t turn out like we thought, we made the most of our day!

We had breakfast (not brunch) with our dear, lovely friend. Then went antique/flea market shopping in Hell’s Kitchen. Finally we trekked over to B&H where Jack got me a wonderful present (more on that later!). Twas a very pleasant Sunday! Makes me consider getting up early on the weekend a little bit more.

I mean, I have seen people leach off popular and successful design, but man, this is so blatant and public!

The colors, the fonts, the icons for donating and volunteering, the use of videos, and the social networking Facebook-type options — including Twitter, which hardly exists in Israel — all reflect a conscious effort by the Netanyahu campaign to learn from the Obama success.

Those who created the Obama Web site, including Thomas Gensemer, managing partner of Blue State Digital, say the Netanyahu site is closer to Mr. Obama’s than any others they have seen.
