Too Legit to Quit

Found a great web series over the weekend: Scotty Got an Office Job!

After 7 years as a freelancer, I finally get a full time, real-life, grown-up office job.
It’s been an adjustment

My Life in a Cube

My Life in a Cube
“Daily Drawings on Office Supplies from my Work Cubicle” My Life in a Cube is Shane Johnson’s great online comic I just happened upon. It’s full of sentiments I can relate to.

Happy Days

Happy Days
I’m in a pretty good mood this morning, (which is a bit surprising considering how much I am a Grumpy anytime before Noon) but a lot of things are making me smile.
• My Bumble & Bumble appointment is today and the timing couldn’t be better!
• Next week we leave for Georgia and my cousin’s wedding. That’s going to be a blast!
• We finally bought an AC unit for the apartment. I still haven’t figured out how I made it through last summer without one. I just don’t sleep very well when it’s all hot and gross.
• On the other end of the above spectrum: My office is freezing, but today I came adequately prepared and shall not shiver the day away!
• Stimulus check!!
• Daydreaming about our next apartment. We don’t have a new place, yet (we still have a little bit of time), but I’m so ready to move out of our current place and on to something new!

You took my stapler!
You can ignore me for a few minutes, if you want… I’m just going a little stir-crazy, today. This whole “office life” stuff really gets to me from time to time. I was going to post pictures of the final bird painting, but I forgot my USB connector and the frame wasn’t finished, anyway. There’s not enough caffeine in the country to get me motivated, right now. I need to take a nap or something. I need a window and some sunlight. But noooooo, I don’t get one of those. It’s not a good idea to stick an artist in a tiny office with no visual stimulation. They’re gonna start drawing on the walls or stacking furniture. *Sigh*

I want to give you something for putting up with me, in my current state. Here’s a neat article about the creator of those dreaded cubicles, Robert Propst. Thank you for your time. I promise, I’ll be better next time.
