So here’s a little update on that fabulous school locker we found. Jack’s pretty much finished painting the outside (we’re thinking white or off-white for the inside). I so adore this green color!

I cut a corkboard in the shape of stacked books; think it turned out cute.

I love my Nine Wests and the natural light this place gets.

Jack and I pulled a locker off the street, out front the school up the street, and he’s painting it Apple Green.

The above business card made me smile so much. I think it’s such a smart idea for a painting company and a great re-use of materials!
Hope everyone is enjoying their loooong weekend!

A few weeks ago Jack bought a few power tools, etc. and we have been putting them to excellent use in our apartment! We are declaring the theme of our place “Re-appropriated IKEA.” We started with drawers and slats of my old bed and made cute mini bookcases. But, last week, in an effort to open up or space a bit more, the impulse struck to take apart my big bookcase, use the remainders of the slats to make wall-mounted shelves. We are having so much fun taking things apart and making them our own and I could not be happier with the results!

One of my best friends, Nia, got “unofficially” engaged a little over a month ago (YAY!), and while on The Scoop, I was reminded of these adorable button bouquets I saw at a card shop recently. Nia is a fashion designer and I think would be perfect for her wedding day! (I will say, the one’s found on The Scoop, made by Princess Lasertron, are much more well-crafted and creative than the one I took a picture of.) So cute!!

Beautiful room, found on 2 or 3 things I know…! I love the whites and neutrals with that amazing pop of the red couch! Great pillows, too.

Everyone catch your breath, nope, I’m not gettin’ married (and I’m, no, not dropping any hints, Jack). I just thought these bands, by STUDIObloomm, were the so elegant and if I were getting hitched tomorrow I would love to have these as mine. I’d be like giving “love pounds” all the time!
P.S. I would like to say congrats to Jessi and Monkey, who did just get married! I wish them the bestest of the best!

I post this because I can actually see my buddy, Morgan, wearing this… No, not just for Halloween… Like to work and stuff. (I <3 you, Moogan!)
The hoodieoctopus is a rare breed indeed. Generally only appearing around Halloween to feast on pumpkin pie and crunch bars.

Finally caught the first episode for Project Runway’s fifth season and this dress, by Kenley, was, hands-down, my favorite. The color, the pattern, the cut, the silhouette, perfect! I would buy and wear this today! I can’t believe it didn’t win. For shame, judges, for shame!

Ooooo, fun stuff… and they’re launching it on my birthday!
Kidrobot just announced a jewelry collaboration with designer Tarina Tarantino. The goods will debut in Kidrobot and Tarina Tarantino’s Soho stores on July 30 and range from $65 to $975. We couldn’t think of a more fitting designer for Kidrobot to make jewelry with. Tarantino has designed a Barbie doll and Barbie-inspired jewelry and famously gave Hello Kitty pink hair in 2002 (an image she still uses in her jewelry designs), and she’s earned a cult following with her bright, shiny creations. Not to mention she calls her L.A. headquarters “The Sparkle Factory.”
