I found Anatoly Zenkov while checking out a different sub-series of his, posted on Gizmodo. But, I’m always drawn to creative typography more than almost anything else!

Tell Every Last Boy That You’re My Man
What a yucky day! Rainy days are meant for sleeping in! *Le sigh* The weekend was a nice one, though. Friday night we had sushi with Jack’s company at Matsuri. Saturday was our crews’ monthly “Brunch Day,” where we all meet up at Bondi Road for food and tons of mimosas; and then precede to bar hop around the neighborhood. It was a delight, as always! Sunday, I tagged along as Jack had some business to attend do, and got some Artichoke! Jack then drove with his friend out to the airport and I took a very long and nice walk back uptown (nearly 85 streets up and 5 avenues over!).
Anywho, I’m not sure how I missed Bat For Lashes “Two Suns” when it came out. I’ve been listening to it all weekend. Beautiful album, from beginning to end!
Adventures in France

I also finished a little project of mine yesterday! Based on the adorable dish towels Santa got for me, by Catstudio.

The Faith of Graffiti

Met up with Diana and Ben to hear a very cool talk for the re-release of The Faith of Graffiti, put on by powerHouse Books. Not only was the creator of the book, Jon Naar, there, but many of the “writers” featured in the original 1974 release were too. It was amazing to hear the different perspectives on the motives of graffiti, whether it was political, artistic or was done just out of boredom. It was a great primer on the origins of tagging in New York. I especially thought it was cool that I went to this right after I saw that Banksy trailer!

Lemonade

I had heard about this movie a little from the design blogs I frequent and was very happy to see that it popped up on Hulu. At only 35min, it’s a very short movie, but is so full of inspiration!
What do people who were once paid to be creative for a living do when they’re laid off? They get creative with their own lives. Lemonade is an inspirational film about 16 advertising professionals who lost their jobs and found their calling, encouraging people to listen to that little voice inside their head that asks, “What if?”

Jack & Jules
Once upon a time a California boy met a Georgia girl in New York. They didn't get along, at first. But, little by little, they fell in love. Today, they are happily living in Santa Cruz, CA and still very much in love, running an Etsy print shop and a branding & design business together.
